Particular thanks to the Berg Collection, for their support and help in providing access to the Field Note Books. I have found Edna Longley’s Edward Thomas’s  Annotated Collected Poems invaluable, and also very helpful in identifying locations of ET’s poems are Matthew Hollis in Now all roads lead to France and WM Whiteman’s Edward Thomas country. Other biographies that have provided useful insights include Jean Moorcroft Wilson’s Edward Thomas from Adlestrop to Arras and Jan Marsh’s Edward Thomas a poet for his country.
